I know that it seems early to start thinking about when you want to have your senior session, but it's not! 

On August 1, I will open my calendar so everyone can see my available dates. Until then, please fill out the short form below to get your name on my list.  I'll reach out to you on 8/1 with a direct link to my calendar.

Here are some things to think about when choosing what time of year you want for your senior session:

• Based on your other commitments and activities, what time of year are you busiest?  If you're busier in the Fall, then choose Winter or Spring for your session (or vice versa).  Don’t forget to check your school calendar. When are finals? Homecoming? Prom? You definitely don’t want to schedule your shoot the day before a big event when you're all stressed out. Plan your session around those milestones!

•  Do you love warm tones, cozy sweaters and boots?  Then choose Fall/Winter for your session.  Each season brings its own flavor, so pick the one that speaks to your aesthetic!  Also, think about the season that best matches your style.  

• If you love flowers and summery types of clothes, then choose Spring OR Fall!  Everyone knows that Houston is still hot well through the end of October, which is perfect for your white dress/cowgirl boots and strappy tops and sandals.  

• If you choose Spring, and you want flowers and green grass, then choose the end of March - mid-May.  Depending on our winter and early spring weather, the flowers and leaves could be delayed in blooming, so I would advise against choosing a February or early March date.

• If you’re planning on getting your hair and makeup done, it’s a good idea to coordinate your session date with your stylist. You want to be looking your best, and that means finding a time that suits both your schedule and theirs!

• Life can be unpredictable, and you don’t want to squeeze your senior session in between a million other things. Choose a day when you can relax, enjoy the shoot, and have fun! Trust me, the last thing you want is to be stressed out while trying to look fabulous!

Choosing the right date for your senior session can make all the difference in having an unforgettable experience. Remember, it’s all about capturing YOU in your element, so think it through and plan accordingly. Happy shooting!
